'Trouble and Tea Leaves' is a brand new Harry Potter role play set right as summer is beginning after their tragic sixth year. We'd like to welcome the Intermediate and Advanced role players and offer the chance to role play scenarios that don't come as easily in the typical Hogwarts school environment.






The events of the end of the Trio's sixth year shook the Wizarding community. The sanctuary and safety of Hogwarts was destroyed the moment a Death Eater stepped into its halls, and the death of Albus Dumbledore combined with the treachery of Severus Snape caused somewhat of a mass hysteria. As a result, Hogwarts has been closed months early, and the staff and students are enjoying a longer summer than usual.

Or are they?

Even at home the students of Hogwarts are faced with dealing with the fear and grief that the events have brought to the community. Not only that, but they're also forced to bare the usual burdens that summer brings with it: temporary love, responsibilities, boredom, family, and worse of all a heatwave that only serves to further work their fellow Wizards and Witches into a frenzy.

So join as a Hogwarts student fresh from school, a Death Eater looking to wreck havoc, a member of the Order trying to do the right thing, a Ministry official trying to keep order, or just a normal person trying to go about their life in the best way that they can. Either way, it's going to be an eventful summer!

Please actually read these, no skimming. We'll know.

    1. Before posting in any roleplay threads you must post your celebrity claim in the face claim thread. Failure to do so means that your celebrity is free game for any newcomers. Also, please make sure your icon is 100 x 100, anything significantly smaller looks tacky and uneven.

    2. Stay active! Don't join us and never visit again, especially if you're playing a canon character. Failure to be properly active will result in a deletion or by being replaced if you're taking up a canon.

    3. No god-modding, or power-playing. What this basically means is that you cannot control another person's character, and your character can not be completely invincible, everyone has weaknesses and flaws, even made-up people.

    4. Just say "no" to meta-gaming, or having your character have knowledge of things that they shouldn't like the contents of another character's head or journal (unless given special permission).

    5. Mary-Sues and Gary-Sues need not apply. If your character is flawless and too perfect, then you're probably not going to be accepted.

    6. This is an INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED roleplaying site, and though I know sometimes you hit a mental block or something of the sort, we expect at least TWO quality paragraphs for each post. Anything less will compromise the integrity and reputation of the site. Also; Please use SPELL-CHECK.

    7. Swearing and sexual matters are fine for this roleplay, if you're above the age of fourteen. Even then, we'd like it if you weren't too graphic or pointless when addressing the matters. Sex and swearing does happen, but we want to be sure that when it does, it isn't just to be doing it.

    8. Don't forget to add Bertie Botts Beans somewhere in the application to prove that you really have read the rules.

    9. Graphics are a big part of creating a profile and a character. We ask that if you're playing a canon, that you use the actor or actress that potrays them in the movies unless given special permission. We also ask that your graphics aren't too risque or go above the size of 500 x 200. Finally, you must use a real person, no anime, cartoons, or Potter-Puff signatures.

    10. If you start an application, you have three days to finish or delete it or else it will be moved to the denied section, unless you appeal to the administrators for more time.
